Drama & Musical Theatre
Weekly classes combine fun games, improvisation exercises, devised theatre and scripted work.
The juniors class is for children aged 4-8 years old and the seniors aged 9+.
Drama is a great confidence builder for many students. As well as learning and improving in the art form, in this class we explore improvisation, working as a team and also script work – allowing the children to become more confident in themselves and also to make new friends.
The class encourages them to speak alone confidently, to be creative and imaginative in their ideas, and we also sometimes include some musical theatre too so they can branch out to singing and dancing. It’s a class which will teach a student lots of different techniques and ideas in drama, but which will also allow them to have fun.
Steelworks also provides many performance opportunities for its students.
