Our Team

Miss Laura

Laura is our singing teacher and her passion for singing and performing started at age 5. She joined the Moorlands Music Centre Brass Band, Stoke North Training Choir and Staffordshire Youth Brass Band before becoming a founding member of the City of Stoke-On-Trent Youth Choir in 1997.

Laura studied Music and psychology at Keele University gaining a BSc and qualified with a PGCE as a secondary music teacher from the Manchester Metropolitan University with the Royal Northern College of Music in 2008.

Lauras experience has ranged from teaching to being a musical director for several local theatre groups. She currently teaches singing and piano as well as working in mainstream education. She has also sang with a variety of groups including Keele Philharmonic Choir, CORDA, Keele Bach Choir, Moorlands Voices and Cheadle Amateur Theatrical and Stagecraft. Now, Laura sings with Staffordshire Show Choir.

Laura’s love for performing is one that she enjoys passing on to her students and we are very fortunate to have her share her passion of singing with our students. She also attends our Tuesday night adult classes!
